CONTROL YOUR LIGHTS IN 3 STEPS

1. Create a Zone
   Open the app and tap ‘CREATE ZONE’ Give it a name (e.g., “Office”).

Commissioning & Setup

STEP 1: NAME YOUR ZONE

• After tapping ‘Create zone’ on the welcome screen, you are directed to the Zone Naming screen. This step is essential for identifying and organizing your lighting network.
• This screen allows you to assign a unique name to your Zone, making it easier to manage and distinguish between multiple Zones in the app.

1. Tap the ‘Zone name’ field.
2. Use the on-screen keyboard to enter a name (e.g., Office West, Lobby, Zone A)
3. Once a valid name is entered, the ‘Create Zone’ button becomes active.
4. Tap ‘Create Zone’ to proceed.
   The Zone is the entire Network which will be created. Within this Zone you can group the lights together for daylight harvesting or precise group control via switches. Also, 1 Zone = 1 room.

STEP 2: DISCOVER NEARBY DEVICES VIA BLUETOOTH

• Once a Zone has been named, the app proceeds to search for nearby devices using the smartphone’s Bluetooth interface.
• This screen initiates the discovery of Bluetooth-capable Zigbee Direct devices within range. These devices will form the foundation of your lighting network.

2. Wait while the app scans for nearby devices.
3. Detected devices will appear on the next screen for selection and configuration.

The Bluetooth range is ca. 10 meters indoors. To discover additional devices move closer to the devices you want to commission.

पायरी 3: VIEWING AND SELECTING DISCOVERED DEVICES

• After initiating Bluetooth discovery, the app begins scanning nearby devices and displays them in real time as they are found.
• This screen allows users to monitor the discovery process and select devices to include in the Zone.

1. Wait for nearby devices to appear in the list.
2. Devices are being shown in cards with name and signal strength.
3. If needed, tap ‘Cancel discovery’ to stop the setup process.

All devices added will be factory reset and can be commissioned by restarting the Zone/Network creation.

INFORMATION: UNDERSTANDING THE DEVICE CARD INTERFACE
As devices are discovered via Bluetooth, each one is presented as an interactive Card. This interface allows users to review, manage, and assign devices to the Zone with intuitive gestures.

EACH DEVICE CARD INCLUDES:

STEP 4: ALLOCATE DEVICE TO ZONE ADDING A DEVICE TO THE ZONE (SWIPE UP)
Once a device card is displayed, users can interact with it using intuitive gestures. Swiping up is the primary action for adding a device to the Zone.

SWIPE UP ACTION:

DISCARDING A DEVICE (SWIPE DOWN)

STEP 4: ALLOCATE DEVICE TO ZONE

SWITCH KINETIC COMMISSIONING
This process enables the integra-tion of an EnOcean Green Power Switch into your lighting network using QR code and NFC scanning.

1. Select Switch Kinetic
   • This will start the onboarding process.
   • The menu can be reached from the plus button from the dashboard with tapping on “Devices”
2. NFC Scanning
   • The app prompts: Ready to NFC scan.
   • Hold your phone close to the switch to initiate pairing.
   • Ensure NFC is enabled and the phone is correctly positioned.

   • Press any button on the switch five times to confirm physical interaction.
   • Tap Done to proceed
4. Confirm Setup
   • The app prompts again for NFC scanning to confirm the setup.
   • Hold your phone close to the switch one more time.
   • Once confirmed, the switch is successfully commissioned into the Zone.

• NFC Positioning: The NFC antenna location varies by phone model.
• Adjust the phone’s position if scanning doesn’t work immediately.

STEP 4: ALLOCATE DEVICE TO ZONE

ADDING LEGACY DEVICES TO THE NETWORK

• Legacy Devices are Zigbee 3.0 devices that can be seamlessly added to the lighting network using the app’s discovery and swipe selection process.
• Interoperability depends on 3rd party Zigbee Standard implementation and shall be tested before installation.

   • Navigate to the “Add Devices screen”.
   • Select Zigbee Devices from the available options (Device Discovery, Legacy Devices, Switch Kinetic).
   • The network will begin scanning for uncommission Zigbee 3.0 devices in the area.

   • The scan runs for approximately 1 minute.
   • During this time, any nearby uncommission Zigbee 3.0 devices will attempt to join the network
3. Device Review:
   • Once the scan is complete, the app displays joined devices.
   • Each device appears as a card with relevant details
4. Swipe to Decide:
   • Swipe Up: Keep the device in the network.
   • Swipe Down: Remove the device from the network. (Devices swiped down will automatically perform a factory reset.)
5. Finish Discovery
   • Tap Finish discovery to complete the process and return to the main setup flow.
   • Ensure Zigbee 3.0 devices are powered on and in pairing mode before starting discovery
   • Keep devices within close range of the commissioning device for reliable detection.
   • Use the swipe gestures carefully-swiping down will reset the device to factory settings.

The Dashboard is the central hub for managing the lighting behavior of your entire Zone. It provides quick access to essential controls and advanced configuration options.

THIS SCREEN ALLOWS USERS TO:

1. Switch the entire Zone ON or OFF
2. Dim all connected devices
3. Create and manage Scenes and Groups

BOTTOM NAVIGATION TABS:

Once the lighting network has been established and devices are assigned to a Zone, users can configure sensor behavior to automate lighting based on occupancy and daylight conditions.

OCCUPANCY SETTINGS
This screen allows users to define how the lighting system should respond to occupancy events within the Zone.

MANUAL INPUT DEVICES

PLUG & PLAY SETTINGS FOR KINETIC SWITCH DIRECT
After the network is created and devices are assigned, manual input devices like the Kinetic Switch Direct can be configured to control the Zone.

Each of the four buttons on the kinetic switch can be assigned specific actions.

DAYLIGHT HARVESTING CONFIGURATION
Daylight harvesting is a feature that automatically adjusts artificial lighting based on the amount of natural light available, helping to reduce energy consumption and maintain optimal lighting conditions.

To begin configuring daylight harvesting:

1. Navigate to the Automation tab using the bottom navigation bar.
2. Select the Daylight tab at the top of the screen.
3. Control Scope: Set to Entire Zone/Group

Tips Before Starting Calibration
To ensure accurate and effective daylight harvesting setup, consider the following:

1. Make sure to darken the room with closing blinds if possible.
2. Adjust brightness levels based on user comfort and energy-saving goals
3. Exclude sensors from regulation if they are not accurately placed over reflective surfaces.
   This can be done during the calibration process
4. Set minimum and maximum brightness levels:
   • उदाample, a 10% minimum brightness ensures lights never dim below 10%, even if daylight would allow further reduction
5. Use the brightness factor to fine-tune the desired lux level on the desk:
   • वाढasing the factor (more lux – brighter lighting)

Reset & Recovery

RESETTING DEVICES
This chapter explains how to reset individual devices, which may be necessary during troubleshooting, reconfiguration, or handover to a new user.

RESETTING INDIVIDUAL DEVICES
You can reset a single device to factory settings if:

1. It is malfunctioning
2. Needs to be removed from the current Zone
3. Will be reassigned to a different Zone

COMMON ISSUES & FIXES:

• NO DEVICES FOUND?
  • Check that lights are powered on.
