The Kinesis Mechanical Keypad LP takes the classic 10-key layout and adds premium features like mechanical switches, programmability, optional backlighting, and an ergonomic palm support to put it in a class of its own.

The keypad uses generic drivers provided by the operating system, so no specific drivers or software are required. Remove the plastic film to activate the pre-installed AAA batteries (see Page 4) and then follow the instructions below to connect.

You can pair the Keypad with two different Bluetooth-enabled
devices and use the Profile Switch to instantly switch between them. To maximize
battery life slide the Profile Switch to the left position when not in use.

Palm Support: The keypad features a convenient palm support, which promotes a neutral typing position to reduce wrist extension and eliminate pressure on the wrist, which can cause circulation issues.

Reduced Finger Strain and Impact: The mechanical switches feature a low actuation force and a full buffer zone for less bottoming out. Try to train yourself not to depress the key all the way to eliminate unnecessary fingertip impacts.
Reduce Eye Strain via optional backlighting: Connect the keypad’s USB cable to backlight the key legends when working in low-light environments. Hold “num lk” and then tap the “+” key to adjust the brightness level or disable backlighting altogether.
Ergonomic Placement: Congratulations on switching to a detached numeric keypad! By decoupling the keypad from your keyboard, you have improved your overall ergonomic setup by allowing closer placement of your mouse or other pointing device when the keypad is not actively being used. Reaching for your pointing device is one of the most common causes of shoulder and elbow strain. When actively using this keyboard, you can place it to the right or left of your keyboard to distribute the workload across both arms. If you have upgraded to a split keyboard, you can even place the keypad between the key modules.

What Can I do with Clique
You can make subtle tweaks to the keypad’s layout or add additional combo actionslike Backspace, Tab, or Delete to the “Aux” layer (see Page 6). You could even install custom or blank MX-style 3rd-party keycaps and convert the keypad to a totally custom “macropad”. Configure up to 8 custom layers, choose from 350+ USB actions, single or double mouse clicks, and a small library of Windows and macOS macros, plus a variety of Advanced Actions. All changes are saved directly to the keypad, not on your computer.

Follow the on-screen prompts to select and then unlock the “Kinesis Keypad” for programming. Click the desired key in the Keymap and use the Action Menu to choose a new action. Click the appropriate OS box to show only Basic USB Actions supported by your computer.
टीप: The Num Lock key is pre-configured to send the Num Lock command when tapped, and momentarily shift to the “Aux” layer when held to access secondary key actions like: Reset Bluetooth, Cycle Backlighting, or Unlock Clique. Other actions can be assigned to the other keys and accessed by holding down Num Lock. Click Apply to store the new action or Cancel to forget it and select a new key. Once you’ve finished your customisations, click the Save button to store them on the keypad permanently.

First, disconnect the keypad from your PC and slide the Profile Switch to the left position to turn it off. With the keypad face up on the desk, slide the palm support cover down and then lift it up to reveal the battery compartment. Use your fingernail to remove the old batteries and then install 2 new AAA batteries in the correct +/- orientation and replace the cover. Note: The batteries are NOT rechargeable.
